Welcome to Cafe-Salon Philosophique

Café-Salon Philosophique made its debut November 1, 1997 in Boulder, Colorado. Gatherings were held throughout Boulder in various well-known bookstores. We would like to thank Bubb's Café, Barnes & Noble, The Troubadour Bookstore, and the Boulder Bookstore for sponsoring our gatherings.

On September 22, 2001, Café-Salon Philosophique closed its doors.

It seems we live in a Society that is obsessed with material possessions, and where there is a great pretense of "being spiritual."  People are more interested in giving attention to the appearance, while totally disregarding the real meaning of life - the essence of being.

It's seems kind of ironic that the decision was made to end our Salon gatherings after the human catastrophes of September 11, 2001 in America - New York, Washington and Philadelphia. These series of events made closing the doors of Café-Salon even more justifiable, so that the philosophical discussions would not turn into political rallies or collective therapy sessions. Our four year experiment for seeking intelligence here in "The Republic of Boulder, Colorado" has now concluded.

It was a pleasure serving the community for the short amount of time that we did, and

WE INVITE YOU TO READ THE VARIOUS REPORTS OVER THE YEARS. Maybe this will inspire you to initiate, implement and find like-minded individuals who would enjoy sharing in regular philosophical conversation - In search for the Love of Wisdom.

So, BE WELL, and we send you PEACE - Shalom!

"Samuel brings awareness to the soul of people and gives the artists who work under his direction the need, dedication, and love for the world of silence and the beautiful art of movement."

- Marcel Marceau, BIP 1961
